In addition, we have provided a new pocket park adjacent to Norfolk Gardens which serves as a cultural and artistic destination in the city, showcasing prominent art installation as part of the Bradford 2025, City of Culture. With the summer approaching and outdoor life increasing we are sure that these public spaces will be greatly enhanced by such a far reaching and inspirational series of public art installations. As the practice looks forward to heading up to UKREiiF in neighbouring Leeds next week with all their plans for improved intercity connectivity with Bradford, our work in Bradford and the wonderful design team, contractors, Clients and local communities we have worked with becomes even more resonant.
Fereday Pollard has close ties to Bradford and for the past four years we have been closely involved with the City and the City of Culture through our work in designing the new entrance to Bradford Interchange Station and the new landscape parklet connecting to Hall Ings and Forster Square, opening up new vistas and public space as part of one of the City’s designated development quarters. We have also led the design of the essential temporary works in the same quarter in preparation for last week’s City of Culture 2025 launch.
It has been a pleasure to work on all this as a partner to Balfour Beatty plc to serve the needs of BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL and West Yorkshire Combined Authority , together with the highly specialised support we received from Tony Gee and Partners, WSE, Bigg Design and Fun Makes Good.
Here’s to an incredible year of culture, creativity, and community for Bradford!
