Fereday Pollard are developing the detail design of a new landmark station at White Hart Lane.
The existing building is to be replaced with a new station to the south (on Love Lane), whilst maintaining the operational railway and its existing platforms. The station arrangement will provide a significant increase in capacity on event days and open up a new neighbourhood pedestrian link through the raised viaduct, improving local permeability.
It station will bring significant improvements to the passenger experience and provide step free access from street to platform and supports the regeneration objectives of the London Borough of Haringey whilst providing a gateway to the local community.
The architecture is characterised by a rich selection of materials which will create a strong and cohesive identity. The use of terracotta pot cladding and ‘zig-zag’ building modelling, is directly influenced by the area’s glasshouse and horticultural heritage.
