In 2014 Fereday Pollard completed a new Train Crew Facility in East London for SWIP and London Underground.
The facility is located on two floors of a converted 1960’s office building and will cater for up to 150 drivers and support staff. The scheme's materials and colours aim to provide a modern and relaxed atmosphere to the facility.
The project brief required the use of extensive cellular type accommodation which has been laid out along two central corridors to maximise natural light into the habitable spaces. Glazed internal screens have also been introduced to provide natural day light into the central corridor space.
