Modernisation of a popular Edwardian Primary school close to Hampstead Garden Suburb
The overall aim of this project was to modernise a popular Edwardian Primary school close to Hampstead Garden Suburb. Our work started with indepth feasibility studies in order to help the school define and prioritise their needs within the budget available. We identified four mini-projects to address the pressing needs of this Edwardian Primary School. They were:
· A new classroom extension
· A new kitchen and facilities wing to the dining hall
· Modernisation of 3 existing classrooms
· Refurbishment of the reception and school office facilities
Fereday Pollard acted as lead consultant, gained planning permission, procured and administered the construction contract. We worked closely with Neilcott Construction to ensure that the new facilities were available to teachers, staff and students at the start of the new school year. The project went from feasibility to completion in less than seven months.
