A decade long involvement on National Grid’s London recabling programme saw us working with a multitude of specialist consultants and contractors on both LPT1 and LPT2 legs of their vast subterranean tunnel around both west and east London.
Our work on designing all the surface sites, headhouse and operational structures and landscaping on both LPT1 and LPT2 started with us supporting the Mott MacDonald multi disciplinary team on LPT1 where we designed all the reference designs on the western leg. We then joined CH2M (now Jacobs) and the Costain Skanska JV on their successful delivery tender and produced all the detailed construction information including all the engineering co-ordination for the JV to build from and concluded our services by supporting the JV through their onsite delivery phases. Working in exactly the same capacity but this time for the WSP multi disciplinary design team we then moved onto LPT2 on the eastern leg, designing all the surface sites and structures up to reference design for the contracting JV’s to tender from and from which the statutory submissions could be made.
