Fereday Pollard have been developing reference designs for two new head houses associated with a new cable tunnel which will enable a section of overhead cables to be removed from Snowdonia National Park and the adjacent estuary

  • Part of the National Grid's Visual Impact Provision (VIP) project
  • Designs are designed to respond sensitively to their rural surroundings
  • Approximately 3km stretch of overhead electricity transmission line will be placed in a tunnel deep under the estuary
  • Permanent removal of ten pylons from the landscape.
